Frequently Asked Questions

What material does the tubing cutter cut?
The cutter cuts copper and EMT conduit. Please see a list of approved materials to cut (click here).

What size pipe can the cutter handle?
The B.A. CUTTER will cut up to 2 inch copper and 1.5 inch EMT. The approved lengths to cut are up to ten feet.

How does the cutter work?
The cutting wheel rotates and separates the pipe. The cutter does not use any powered rollers to turn the pipe against the cutting wheel. (Video)

What time savings does the cutter allow?
(Time savings, $ savings chart)

How long will the blade/cutting wheel last?
Our cutting wheel is made from D-2 and heat treated to last for a long time. If you are only cutting light copper, it would be very difficult to wear down your blade in a lifetime of cutting. If you are cutting EMT, your blade will last for years depending on your volume of cuts. As long as you stick to the approved materials to cut, you will not need to replace your wheel in the near future.

Do I need to register to receive warranty protection?
We do not require our products to be registered. For warranty protection please save your dated cash register receipt as proof of purchase.
